Good Luck Dirt
At the Northgate Mall, in North Seattle, an excess of good luck has led to a host of favorable development deals for the Simon Property Group, which owns the mall.
In the Rainier Valley, in South Seattle, a dearth of good luck means that several dozen businesses must close or relocate to make way for a new light-rail system.
Matthew pushed a wheelbarrow full of Good Luck Dirt (taken from Northgate Mall landscaping) nine miles to the Rainier Valley, where he dumped it and loaded up with Bad Luck Dirt.
He then walked this load back to Northgate where it was placed in the void left by the theft of the Good Luck Dirt.
Mall security tried to prevent the placement of Bad Luck Dirt; however, as they had only seen a suspicious-looking person with a wheelbarrow full of dirt, they were helpless to intervene.
